Improve Yard Safety with Railserve TechnologyBetter Communication and Training Improves Safety while Lowering Costs
Railserve is continuously improving safety methods and technology for the industrial rail yard. Railserve's connected rail yard is a safer rail yard. Please contact us to learn more.
Here is a partial list of technology and safety procedures we employ at Railserve operations:
Yard Tracker is Railserve's web-based software that helps you keep track of rail cars and their contents. Yard Tracker helps increase efficiency and capacity with detailed reporting features.
GPS technology provides real-time monitoring of locomotive speed and impacts, throttle control, REAct Alerts/Reports, and crew tracking.
The Railserve LEAF Genset switching locomotive saves fuel and emissions, and is easy to maintain. Learn more about the Railserve LEAF locomotive at railserveleaf.biz
Locomotive Cameras record continuous audio & video of the front, rear and inside the cab.
REAct is a safety device used at all Railserve operations. It enables employees to stop the train without communication to the engineer. Learn more about the REAct device.
Switchrite Indicators eliminates potential derailments at the track switches.
Sill Step Extenders alleviate fatigue and reduces potential slips when riding on the side of certain types of cars.
Interactive Web Training is used to standardize our new employee orientation. It provides a real life simulation for the employee to learn in a safe, interactive environment. Trainees must safely navigate a rail yard without violating safety rules.
Recognition Programs maintain a safe work environment by creating an engaged workforce. Our management systems reward targeted behavior at every level.
Quarterly Score Card (KPI) measure how “we're doing” for our customers. These KPI’s are maintained at the location level and emailed to our customers each month.
Dynamic Testing is designed to validate the hazard awareness of Railserve’s switching personnel. Dynamic testing is performed several times per month.
